Comparison of PD-MCI and DLB-MCI criteria and correlates Lead Investigator: Jon Toledo Institution : University of Florida E-Mail : tintinjb@gmail.com Proposal ID : 1538 Proposal Description: The clinical distinction between Parkinson's disease dementia (PDD) and dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB) has been defined by the timing of the dementia and motor onset in patients along their disease course. Recently, DLB prodromal criteria have been released and therefore, a dementia diagnosis is not needed for the prodromal DLB diagnosis. To evaluate the clinical profile of DLB in the predementia stages we propose and analysis of DLB-MCI and PD-MCI subjects in the NACC cohort. The goal is to evaluate whether individuals clinically diagnosed with MCI due to Lewy body disease in NACC meet the relevant MCI criteria and to compare the demographic characteristics, neuropsychiatric and cognitive profiles, and rate of progression of PD-MCI versus DLB-MCI subjects.
